Andreas Sjöstedt plays the Bass for Swedish Metalband Kill The Kong and was invited to Rocksta Sound Ranch to record his rig and have Impulse Responses made for his specific sound. This gave him an opportunity to try our library of Impulse Responses for the very first time and talk about thoughts and opinions regarding Soundwoofer's Service and how this could affect the music industry in the future.
"Hailing from the harsh lands of Sweden, Kill the Kong is a seven-man strong metal/hardcore outfit formed in 2015. Built on percussion-based grooves, aggression and "in your face" live shows, the band quickly got recognized as a force to be reckoned with when releasing their first single 'Caged' during summer 2015. After touring around Sweden during 2015, Kill the Kong entered Studio Radionika to record their self-titled full-length debut. The album, released on February 29th 2016, received a warm welcome, both by fans, critics and on social media and put Kill the Kong on the Swedish metal map. Following up their album release, the band continued to play several shows around Sweden and Europe, while simultaneously writing new material. This resulted in the two singles 'Bring the Heat' and 'Ashes in the Wind', both released during fall and winter 2016/2017. Shortly after releasing the two singles the band signed a record deal with GAIN / Sony Music (Avatar, Europe, Hardcore Superstar). During spring and summer of 2017, Kill the Kong once again entered Studio Radionika to record their follow-up album, 'COLOSSUS'. The first single 'Juggernaut (Wolfpack)', was released in June 2017, followed by 'Snake Eyes' and 'The Antagonist', released in August and October. 'COLOSSUS' dropped worldwide on November 24th through GAIN / Sony Music"

8x10 Bass Cabinet OWNER: Andreas Sjöstedt Mesa/Boogie (also known as Mesa Engineering) is an American company in Petaluma, California, that manufactures amplifiers for guitars and basses. It has been in operation since 1969. MESA was started by Randall Smith as a small repair shop which modified Fender Amplifiers, particularly the diminutive Fender Princeton. Smith's modifications gave the small amps much more input gain, making them much louder as well as creating a high-gain, distorted guitar tone. Prominent early customers included Carlos Santana, and Ron Wood and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. Exposure from these top players helped to establish Mesa/Boogie's position on the market, and it is frequently referred to as the first manufacturer of boutique amplifiers. Originally introduced in 1992. Chambered Construction - The Traditional 8x10 cabinets utilize a classic, sealed and chambered design that provides emphasis on focused low-mid punch while still maintaining balance, detail, and clarity across the rest of the frequency range. Combined with the highest quality, void-free Marine Grade Baltic Birch and custom Eminence speakers. SPEAKON Connectors - Convenient Inputs and Paralleled Outputs are provided for via "combination" connectors that feature both standard ¼-inch AND locking SPEAKON high-current connections contained within the same connector. Tilt & Roll Transport System - Provides built-in, hand truck portability with rollerblade-style wheels and rear glide rail protection and heavy-duty metal kickplate. Source: Wikipedia, mesaboogie.com
